School Staff

River of Life Christian Center

Mr. Shover has been teaching since 1995 at RLCS and is the Middle School head teacher. He also teaches the elective classes of guitar, advanced guitar, drama, worship band, and Fine Arts. He is married to Sheira Shover and they have one son. His interests include motorcycles, computers and guitar.

Mrs. Henderson is in her 45th year of teaching at RLCS and recently retired as the High School head teacher, but is with us as an online assistant teacher. She is married to Gene Henderson and has three grown children. Her interests include reading, landscaping, and her grandkids. Her intelligence, wisdom and love for the students is her hallmark as a teacher. Any student who has had the opportunity have "Mrs. H" as a teacher can attest they have been truly blessed.

Mrs. Shover has been a high school teacher at RLCS since 1995, and is now our head high school teacher. Mrs. Shover is also an electives teacher for worship band and Fine Arts. She is married to Paul Shover and they have one son, a graduate from RLCS. Mrs. Shover enjoys motorcycles, bicycles, and playing bass guitar.

Miss Rich is our 1st-3rd grade teacher at RLCS, and has been with us for many years. She enjoys yard work, taking care of her house and her pets. You will find Miss Rich to be a very happy and friendly individual.

Mrs. Mayes has been the K4/K5 teacher for many years. She now teaches K5-1st Grade. She is married to Chris, and is the mother of three children (one is married), two of which are RLCS graduates. She enjoys camping and taking care of her many animals. She is a truly gifted teacher with a genuine love for her students.

Mrs. Lyster started working at RLCS as an assistant in the high school room during the 2017-18 school year. She is now the head teacher for 4th and 5th grades! She has a heart for teaching and for reaching out to our students.

Mrs. Anderson is our school secretary. She loves being with her family. Some of her hobbies include baking, fishing, camping and photography.

Brent Shover is a RLCS alumni and our new School Administrator. After graduating from River of Life in 2017, Brent secured his degrees from Trinity Bible College and Graduate school — and was later a residence director, audio/visual director, and professor at the college. Brent is overwhelmingly passionate about quality Christian education within the Treasure Valley. Him and and his wife (Marissa) love to create music and enjoy God’s creation outdoors.
